Calvary Bible Church (CBC) is looking for a full-time Teaching Pastor who has a passion and calling for expository preaching to provide spiritual leadership for the congregation and staff.
The position is one of spiritual leadership, which is at least comprised of feeding the congregation through the teaching and preaching of the Word. The Teaching Pastor serves as one of the elders of Calvary Bible Church, as well as the primary teacher and preacher for weekly worship services. Together with the elders and other pastoral staff in equal authority, he serves in collaboration with deacons, and ministry leaders. With the elders and pastoral staff, he supports the vision, development, organization, and administration of the ministries of the church and the oversight and shepherding of the flock.
The pastor will be purposeful and humble in his leadership, training up other leaders, deacons, pastors, and missionaries. He may fulfill the other church responsibilities dependent on his spiritual gifting.
CBC is a well-established church of 150+ attendees that recently celebrated our 50th anniversary. We are located at the border between Somerset and Hunterdon counties, New Jersey, where we serve a growing community. We are committed to expository preaching from dispensational theology. Our worship style consists of a contemporary blend of praise band worship songs and traditional hymns.
